Yay. I just took a delivery of HP608E signal generator. Currently, all it does is to turn on pilot lamp. I guess I have work cut out for me. Yes, I am fully aware of high voltage. I had HP608D long time ago.

Wish you lots of fun with you new toy.
Is there any question in your post?

You made me curious.

To me it looks like an excellent paper weight:
28 kg / 61 lb 10.8 oz (61.674 lb)
I think you and I have slightly different hobby's :-+

Beware that Keysight/Agilent/HP might confiscate your generator ;D

How much does your signal generator weigh?
My main one is HP8644A and B. They weight 30kg each. This is a fully synthesized sigGen from mid 80s to early 90s I think?
One neat thing about HP608 is I can set it to non-modulated CW and SCREAM into vent on the outer case. It modulates the carrier! Way back when, I hooked it up to an antenna (I am a licensed ham), set it to ham band, and had a contact using this thing. That was funny.
