National Instrument USB DAQ Alternatives

(1/1)

rvalente:
Hello Mates,

National USB 6000 Series DAQ could be very useful for a bunch of industrial applications but they're quit expensive when a panel PC is included on the system. Is there other vendors alternatives?

alm:
What are you looking for? You mention the PC is a large part of the cost. I don't think $200ish is very expensive for an industrial device. Would something with a wired or wireless Ethernet interface save on the number of computers you need?

Look at LabJack. Their prices will probably not be much, if any, lower, but they have some features like Ethernet connectivity and Lua scripting (in the T-series) that might cut down on the number of computers you need. Obviously you could make something with an Arduino, but I wouldn't mess with that in an industrial environment.

Actually NI Hardware is quite expensive, a USB-6009 is at $524 at newark, the importing costs in Brazil is often ridiculous so this could almost double.
I'll check labjack, tks!
