Roll Mode on Rigol DS1074z / DS1104z
« on: July 03, 2014, 03:19:58 pm »
Does anyone here own one of these scope and know if zoom works in roll mode?  I'd like to be able to acquire at about 1s/div and stop.  Then zoom in from there. So 4Ch at 3Mpts per channel should let me zoom in to better than 10us/pt .  Also wondering if anyone knows max sample rate in roll mode?

Thanks for help!

1 channels on, sample rate is 2 MSa/s, can zoom up to 5µs/div
2 channels on, sample rate is 1 MSa/s, can zoom up to 5µs/div
3 channels on, sample rate is 500 KSa/s, can zoom up to 5µs/div
4 channels on, sample rate is 500 KSa/s, can zoom up to 5µs/div

Great, thanks for info.  I think I'll need to pick one of these up.  Does it always display dots at max zoom or can you configure for vectors / lines?

I put it in dots mode, I wanted to see the actual data points. In vector mode you don't know which point is a guess and which one is real sampled data.
