Hi all, just downloaded the firmware upgrade for my Owon SDS7102 scope. Now what? Never upgraded a scope before. I have the Rar file. How do I perform the upgrade?

Read the help file instructions on the net , or plug in it in and fire up the software i think ?

You'll have to unpack the .rar. It will likely contain a few files within including the update itself and also instructions.
Something like Winrar will do the job.

Ok, I'm on a Mac, but I am running Windows 10 natively on an external drive. Should work right?

Ok, I'm on a Mac, but I am running Windows 10 natively on an external drive. Should work right?
You'll just have to check you get a Win 10 compatible version. Win 10 may be able to do it with a default program, I'm not sure.
Just double click the .rar and follow the Windows prompts

Look for a Mac program called Keka. It will unpack the rar file. You should then end up with the appropriate parts which you can use in a virtual pc of some kind (Parallels, VirtualBox, etc) on your mac.

On Windows you can use 7-zip to unpack the .rar file.
