Firmware for Tonghui TDO3062A?
(1/1)
ph_66:
Hello,

as a newbie both to this forum and also fairly to DSOs, I need a bit of help for the old oscilloscope I found on ebay for little money.

It's a Tonghui TDO3062A and I tried all the bells and whistles on it and found some things that I do not understand:

- When switching to equivalent sampling, it refuses to sample with more than 100Msp/s, at least that is what it says in the right top corner. It should show something like 10Gsp/s when I turn the horizontal resolution all the way to 5ns/div, right?

- When switching the vertical knobs to fine resolution and having set the probe setting to 10x in the menu, it seems to work correctly for all the intermediate values, but not for the values that correspond to the coarse setting. The waveform on the screen gets bigger then and on the next turn of the knob it scales back to what I would expect.

- I had some triggering issues in dots mode, but I wasn't able to reproduce it.

As my DSO seems to have been worked on, this could also be due to an improper firmware hack.

If anyone has a copy of the firmware for the TDO3000A, I would appreciate it very much.
I already emailed to Tonghui support, Leaptronix (seems to be an OEM) and to a big reseller, but never received any answer. I found something for the TDO3000B at the BK-Precision site, but this is not accepted by my A-model.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Peter

Hello,

no reply so far... no one with an old copy of the TDO3000A firmware?

Should you find a file called 3000A.upt on some of your storage devices, I would be more than happy to get a copy.

Thanks and best
Peter
