Anritsu Autocal software
« on: January 12, 2021, 07:25:29 pm »
Hello Everyone,
I'm scouting for an Anritsu Autocal module on eBay, but I'm concerned that the modules for sale lack the necessary control software which is referenced in the manual, i.e. "AutoCal program disk"
https://dl.cdn-anritsu.com/en-us/test-measurement/files/Manuals/Users-Guide/10410-00199.pdf

I'm assuming also that the software diskette originally shipped with the modules would have s2p files with characterization data for the Autocal module...
The modules themselves uses a power supply and a RS232 interface to a controlling PC, in contrast to the Agilent ECal modules which connect to the VNA directly if memory serves.

So far I have not found any online repository with these files, does anybody have them ?

Best regards

Anyone

I've not seen or used the software but I would expect the correction factors for each Autocal module to be stored internal the module - if not without the original parameters the module would be pretty useless.

edit - I've been told the correction factors may not be stored in the modules - but that you can characterize them yourself if you have a known good cal kit with a sliding load etc.
