Title: Neutrik A2
Post by: our.man.flint on May 14, 2022, 02:37:12 pm
Hi folks. I wonder if anyone can help with my A2. I just bought it, upgrading from my ancient HP339a with all its broken plastic dials, and have stupidly, eagerly, pressed all the wrong buttons and got it stuck trying to calibrate. Unboxed it, saw a poor noise floor reading on ch b, thought I'd try the calibration routine and, well, now I'm buggered. Looks like ch b has an input problem, repeated low gain messages and no obvious way to cancel the calibration. Every power cycle its back. After that just to make it all worse I've pressed buttons during power up and now its looking for a digital input, it doesn't doesn't have the digital option fitted but, well, after holding down the level button during power up it wants to see one..

Muppet.

Anyone, pleae help!!

So I’ve found the settings page and turned digital in off and have found the ‘next step’ button which lets you skip through the failed tests and complete the cal. Done. Lots of failed tests. The machines no good. No outputs basically, I’m guessing I was getting input gain errors during cal. as there’s literally only a few millivolts of level on the signal outs. Also if I plug in a tone from my hp339, it can’t read it. I’ve bought a turkey, eBay return procedure has been started!
