Rigol DG1032Z - JTAG connectors and pins
« on: May 04, 2016, 05:15:11 am »
Hi,

I'm trying to memdump my DG1032Z.

There are two 10 pin JTAG headers identified as ARM-JTAG and CPLD-JTAG.

And there are test points (without the header) in the PCB identified as JTAG-FPGA.

If someone already memdump a DG1032Z and can help me identifying which JTAG to use and the pins identification, I appreciate.

Please, see attached three PCB pictures showing the connectors.

Thanks in advanced.

Regards,
Rodrigo.

At picture uploadfromtaptalk1462338841970.jpg unable to read the model of the uC.

As connector named ARM-JTAG so you can use SEGGER J-link for connecting to chip.

near it presents SPI-BOOT connector. device has SPI FRAM/MRAM/EEPROM?
What is the reason for reading the dump?
Do you wish to upgrade it to DG1062Z with 16M ARB len?

Can you do more large photo for reading the model of the ICs? Or put the list of ICs?

As I can found photo of pcb:
CPU: MCIMX283DVM4B (Freescale) - ARM926EJ-S 454Mhz
NAND flash: H27U1G8F2BTR-BC (Hynix) - 1 Gbit (128 M x 8 bit)
SDRAM: H5PS5162GFR-xxC (Hynix) - 512Mbit (32M x 16 bit)

Near the SPI-BOOT connector present 2 chips SOIC-8, one of them with label Winbond, please, give a label of them or photo.

About JTAG-pinout try to use next:
       3v3/Vref  - 1  2 - GND
             TRST - 3  4 - GND
                TDI - 5  6 - SRST
               TMS - 7   8 - TDO
               TCK - 9  10 - Unknown/Not Connected
Before connecting check by multimeter pins GND & 3v3/Vref
