My dso2d15 has always randomly needed me to press a button again to register, but now after two separate posts here I am beginning to wonder if I should be expecting instant button response always? I just thought the missed presses were due to processor overload.

I have found a small bug and would like to know if it is a known issue or if it has been introduced as part of a recent update.

It's really a detail for a $130 scope. I'm still amazed what it can do.

When I turn on the track mode for the cursor in FFT mode, the measuring point (X, frequency) is always shifted slightly to the right, like in the picture in the attachment.
Where dB is highest is not the correct frequency.
AX should be at 9.900KHz, not 9.928 etc. As you can see correctly on the second picture, with the manual measurement.

Really a detail for such a cheap scope, but it would be nice if it worked properly. Reminds me of the TinySA markers.

Did this work with an earlier firmware?

Thank you!

I have been playing with fft and can't unsee this now. The amount seems to point to the square's offset chosen incorrectly. Can I link to this post with hantek support to see if that clearly simple offset calculation can be fixed in a patch.

Sure. Go ahead!
But I don't know whether it's a "simple" bug.
Sometimes simple-looking bugs are just the tip of an iceberg.  ;)

With Hantek's sofware, is more like rolling over a rotted log they keep re-painting for every scope. There is an unnatural ammount of bugs sealed away in the paint (Half baked UI patches).

Is there any news on this?

I took another look at it.
Under certain conditions it is hardly noticeable.
It is then still slightly shifted in the measurement, but visually it looks good.
Now I have to find out why/when this is the case...

Hello, I bought a dso2d15 in 2021, which worked well, newer software improved its operation. But when I uploaded the last one (2024-05-07, the firmware changed to 3209), I haven't been able to calibrate since then and it says error 511d1! I loaded firmware (3202 and 3208) and older software, but nothing changed! Do you have any idea what I should do to make it good again?

What was your original hw? Try fw 3102 and sw 24.02.02.

Thank you very much! It looks good, I was able to calibrate it and everything fell into place. I will test it in more detail tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don't remember the original sw anymore, I only found this forum today. Hantek didn't even answer me. Thank you!

DavidAlfa, I'm sorry, but where is your FAQ? I can not find it. The link to FAQ opens the 8th page but there is no FAQ.

Yes, it seems to have been blocked by bit.ly for some reason.
New links to the FAQ get instantly blocked, too.

For now, all I can do is this:

After a month of frustration with freezing and restarting Hantek DSO2D10 (firmware updated to ver. 3209), I've devecided to switch to Siglent SDS1202X-E.

Did you register in the forum just to tell us that?
Why didn't you buy a Siglent straight away if you have the money for it?

Why not?

Looks strange to me.
Why didn't he ask us before?
Why doesn't he post about his new scope in the Siglent thread?
To me it looks like he just wants to badmouth the Hantek.

Maybe.

If I had spent money on one of these (and I very nearly did) I would be tempted to "bad mouth it" if only to try and prevent someone else from making the same mistake.  I have oden so before with other useless products.

Why do you want to bash a device you don't even own?
I don't understand the motivation behind it. Are you a competitor?

I bought one for $130 and I think it's great for that price. I love it.
It's great that Hantek makes this product at this price.
Of course you shouldn't pay too much for it. There's no doubt that you can get better for more money.

I'm not bashing anything.

The other poster apparently did own it, had trouble with it and is warning others about his bad experience.  What's wrong with that?  Is that not what forums like this are for .. sharing our experiences?

Looking back at some of your posts in this thread I'd say your own experience was not without some trouble in getting it working the way you want it.

It's not your experience if you don't own a DSO2000.

Why don't you talk about the devices you have experience with?

I don't go to the Rigol thread and complain about something I "know" by hearsay.
Why do people do something like that?
