JBC FAE1 KIT1 Fume Extractor - Opinions
« on: March 26, 2024, 08:42:14 pm »
Hello,
I want to buy a good quality fume extractor that will not just suck the air from my head and send just little further. I want a proper/quality air filtering for health issues. Does anyone have experience with this particular JBC fume extractor? Is it trusted?

Not a ton of info out there for JBC as the price is so high ($2k). If you have that sort of budget and want the integration with other JBC products I'm sure its fine.

If you don't, weller zero smog or hakko fa430 or equivalent probably makes more sense:

If you have to suggest me any other way/setup(photos) of ventilation like a custom fume's hood with an outdoor motor.
Is it stragne or am I wrong? There no many informations, videos or pictures about soldering fumes ventilation and instead there thousands videos of soldering and soldering stations.

Yes vent to outdoors is simple and effective for hobbyist. If you are a business you may want to check local laws and if you are allowed to open vent holes or use existing windows.

We have threads you can read through:

There is not a lot of good information, no, because its not required to solder and legislation is not so strict. So people only look into it after a while when they realize their room is full of smoke.
