Hi guys, I've been watching Dave's videos for years, but I'm pretty new here in the forum, so, sorry it this is not the right place to ask this question.
I want to upgrade from my old SDS1072CML (a toy for today's standards) to a newer 4 channel oscilloscope with MSO capabilities, as i do a lot of digital stuff.
I really like the sds1000x-e model, so that is my choice, but I don't really know if I should spend the extra 250+ euros for the 200Mhz version. I want a 200MHz oscilloscope, and I know that the 100MHz can be hacked, however I'm not able to find any information about the compatibility of the hacked version with the optional hardware for mixed signal capabilities.
If I hack the oscilloscope, it is still guaranteed that the sla1016 hardware with software option will work?
And is there a way to also hack the mixed signal software? I can't find anything about that.
Thank you for helping a forum newbie!
