new killer scope in town - a true game changer from R&S - RTB2002 & RTB2004
Darkover:
> RTB2000 is not 12 bit.
Ups, I invented two more bits. ;)
However, it is noisefree enought that I enjoy it and I think it is very seldom that
I need the gain of 1x probe, especialy if I had to pay with lower bandwith.

Support told me as an individual, not a company or part of a company, they could not help me. Something about being in the process of changing the way they deal with non company purchasers. Maybe US market only.
Part of the reason I purchased this scope for the higher cost was the claimed superior support. Other companies may have the same protocol. Nonetheless my last Rhode and Schwarz purchase.

Did support say they could not answer technical questions or that they could not help you purchase accessories as an individual? This is an important distinction.

Told me I had to purchase new probes from supplier, Tequipment was listed in my email as the supplier. The only place I found these in stock in US. Also spoke to R&S via phone. For me, same as could not help me, I mentioned what was posted on their own website. Again I was told R&S was changing policy for how they deal with non company individuals.

Thanks. I'm not surprised if we are referring individuals (vs. companies) to distributors for purchasing accessories: we don't really operate a "web store" in the United States, and most of our partners are very well stocked and can ship quickly (and are the same price as buying from us).
But I don't think our support model has changed with regards to individuals versus companies.

As mentioned I wanted RT-ZP03 probes, could only find The 10X only attenuation S probe. Didn’t know that before arrival, RT-ZP03S is listed incorrectly on Tequipment website as 1X/10X. The supplier didn’t know the difference, and I had no other option. They didn’t contact me back. So when I say R&S couldn’t help me, the supplier is my only contact for representation from the Rhode and Schwarz company. R&S Support didn’t even want to talk to me about this at first until I contacted Tequipment beforehand, where I had purchased the scope. That was a process.
