Well Amazon showed up bearing gifts today so I figured I’d best sign up here so I have somewhere to look for answers. I’m sure there will be things come up that I need help with!
I’ve had a number of analog scopes over the years , HP, Tektronix etc….,  but this is my first digital and I must say it is pretty cool. Will take some time to incorporate the new features into my process but it sure looks like it’s gonna be fun. As soon as the slush fund for toys bounces back I’m planning to add the SDG2942X AWG to the bench as well. I do a lot of 2way radio communications work and I’m planning to work on my Arduino/Pi skill sets with an eye to developing a multi antenna/multi transceiver control switching system to allow for more flexible operations in my hamshack.

Welcome and congratulations on snagging a great scope!

Hi Gerald,

Congratulations on your new scope, it shouldn't disappoint you.
Together with the SDG2042X, which can be "upgraded" to 120Mhz, you have a good set of equipment.
And bodeplot is really good on the siglents.
Have fun trying it out. :-+

Well I downloaded and installed the latest firmware 6.1.37R10 today without incident. My scope came with 6.1.27R6 installed which according to the cal sheet included in the box puts it at the factory on 2021-10-30 so 2 years old before it even arrives in 🇨🇦!.  As a matter of interest I also test loaded the old version 6.1.26 just in case I decide to try any upgrade scripts, which I understand may require this early version to work.  I did buy the recommended wifi dongle as it might be nice to have this option at some point in the future.

Lots of info to digest!
