It is now on sale and only costs 1700 Euros without tax. Do you think it worths paying 2300 Euros more to get the 12bit version?

The MDO has digital inputs, AFAIK the 12 bit model does not (for some odd reason) so the comparison is more complicated than just the number of bits.

Hello,
I cannot find that the MDO has digital inputs either in the data sheet or in the manual. The pictures in the MDO manual do not show any digital inputs either. And Batronix does not offer any digital probes either.
I think the MDO, like the MHO3, has no digital inputs.
Best regards

Hmmm, maybe they changed that. I strongly recall Micsig has or had one of the 8 bit models with digital channels. It could be just an announcement.
If they dropped / don't have the digital channels, then I'd go for the 12 bit model if I'd had to choose.

Hello,
there is a new app RustDesk for my MHO3. I found: “RustDesk is a free software for the graphical remote control of computers”.
I don't yet know whether it will be of any use to me.
What I have noticed is that the noise is slightly lower with a low pass filter of 350 MHz than with the full bandwidth of 350 MHz.
Best regards

At evision it costs 1.899,00 without tax.

Thanks for the answer. But MHO3-2504 has only 250MHz bandwidth, while MDO5004 has 500MHz. MHO3-5004 is the 12bit version with 500MHz bandwidth and it costs €3,750 without tax in MEILHAUS.
I understand most probably the 250MHz version has the same hardware with the 500MHz version, but I guess I can not (easily) unlock the 500MHz bandwidth on a 250MHz version?

Hello,
I'm sorry, I hadn't noticed that there was a special offer. I also didn't realize that the MDO5004 is the 500 MHz version.
The pricing at Batronix is funny:
MDO2504 € 2,021.81
MDO3504 € 2.854,81
MDO5004 € 2.021,81
In my experience, the hardware is the same in each case. But I don't know that for sure.
But it's very difficult to decide. I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.
Maybe you buy an MDO5004 for € 2,021.81 and a Siglent SDS804X HD for € 486.71. Then you have the advantage of both worlds for relatively little more cost.
The MDO5004 has a trigger out, so with a little care (delay and jitter) you can even synchronize both and then have 7 channels.
Best regard
