It might be, but it sets the common mode output voltage which has to be within range of the next stage.

I would ignore the differential amplifier stage until the input buffer is working.

I was investigating this because what I had seen on the "FET input amp stage", which I believe you mean is the input buffer?
The input is a 1 kHz 0 to -10V square wave through a x10 probe (so 0 to -1V in effect):

Hello everyone,

I'm returning to electronics after at least 5 years. I would like to update my DS1054Z. After reading the latest comments, I understand that the most stable firmware without weird errors is 00.04.05.02.02.

Does anyone have this firmware version? It is no longer available online.
