| New Rigol DS1102Z-E board version 0.0.1? |
| (1/1) |
| wdonders:
Picked up my new Rigol DS1102Z-E scope yesterday. This model must be around for at least 5 years, and I was wondering if there is any way to see the manufacturing date of the unit? When opening system info, It shows "board version 0.0.1" which sounds like a pre-release beta beta? :-\ The software version is "00.06.03.SP1" which seems recent, but this might be updated by the seller. (I bought it from a well known local shop which specializes in electronic lab equipment) Rigol.eu states that the latest version is "v00.06.03.02.02", how does that relate to my SP1 version? Sad to see that there is no firmware changelog.. |

You'd have to take it apart and look at the PCB. The 2-channel model isn't very old. Why does it matter? |

@Fungus: Thanks for the reply, in the mean time I found out by reading more in the eevblog forum that board version 0.0.1 is indeed still a recent (or even only) version. Also the Firmware version is one of the latest. So, no worries now >Why does it matter? Nobody wants to receive a first buggy version of a device when you buy it new, but I can't find anything about this first version being buggy :) |
