Just what the title says.
Is this the standard normal packaging for newer siglent scopes?
I bought it from a local reseller here in the Philippines and I doubt the guy has replaced the power plug. He knows me and I have bought lots of electronic parts and other stuff from him.
Have always thought that pulling out the ground pin makes the scope "floating" which in return makes all the exposed ground connections (BNC terminals) very dangerous.

Not sure, but from the picture, it looks like it is made for a removable ground pin, which should have been provided with the scope. That would give you the option of floating the scope if desired and not have to use a 3-2 pin adapter. Just a guess.

Looks like usual European earthed mains plug. There should be no pin.

It is a European plug, in some countries, Belgium for sure there is a pin in the outled and in other countries there are contacts on the side. This plug will fit in both.

Schuko plug. It's ok. There are various adapters.

Yeah.. I should have gotten a US plug instead.
Thanks and all! :-+
