Tonight I’ve checked siglent.eu and saw SPE1168X listed for about 2 hundred something Euro, IIRC. Went out for a few beers and when I came back to check it it disappeared. At least  there’s already user manual available at  https://www.batronix.com/files/Siglent/Labornetzteile/SPD1000X/SPD1168X-UserManual-EN.pdf

Still 10mV/10mA accuracy so they might have left the extra digits out. Voltage: ±(0.03% of reading+10 mV) Current: ±(0. 3% of reading+10 mA)  :palm:
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

The sense terminals are a nice feature.  Too bad they couldn't have squeezed these power supplies into a stackable form factor like the DMMs/AWGs.

Assuming they use "accuracy" and "resolution" somewhat correctly (although, as our lecturer used to say, it is never "accuracy" but "inaccuracy"), then the last digits still have their uses, e.g. to detect a small changes in them. Whether such was e.g. really from 1.234A to 1.235A or from 1.244A to 1.245A might in many cases be less important.  Of course, they have not specified how the inaccuracy behaves, but typically the shown values are still monotonic and linear enough.

(Otherwise most of the 7-8 digit multimeters could leave out 1-2 last digits, too, since most of them are "only" specified to be accurate to 6 digits, or 5 digits after a year.)

Some quick facts/findings from the first I've seen of these:

2s boot time.
Quiet smart fan. 80mm. At no time with the following tests and loads did the fan speed increase.
2 sets of 650mm leads with croc clips, one set with open lug terminals and the other with molded banana plugs.
Output enable soft key driving an output relay. Note, the relay is only bought into ON switching function at voltages above 4.4V settings below which silicon is doing the switching.
19mm terminal spacing.

Overshoot test, high current.
12V set, 8A set.
12V halogen auto lamp, 5A draw.

DSO SDS1104X-E, 10x stock probe, Normal triggering.

Ripple check.
Load as above.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overshoot test, low current.
4.4V set, 8A set
Red LED with 1k current limit resistor.
5mA displayed as drawn.

Ripple check.
Load as above.

More checks and tests later.

Has anyone tried to download and install EasyPower - 1.01.01.16 (Release Date 07.18.18 )?

When I get the the installer start-up screen, it looks like it might be the Chinese version.  The download from Siglent and Siglent America both do this.  I went through the installer anyway, and it seemed to install an English version!  However, upon execution and connection to a device, the app shrinks down to just its menu for a second then disappears.

I uninstalled it, and tried to go back to 1.01.01.13 and it now does the same thing.  The installation has also messed up EasyWave.  All sorts of unsupported operation dialogs appear during its execution, and then when connecting to a device it shows an invalid pointer dialog, then just displays the screen attached.  EasyDMM, EasyScope, and EasySpectrum seem unaffected.

I wanted to upgrade to the .16 version of EasyPower as .13 isn't compatible with the SPD1168X.  Another problem with .13 (or it might be with the SPDs themselves) is that static IPs don't work.  They can be assigned but EasyPower doesn't see them.

Completely uninstalling the EasyPower and EasyWave using the Windows Control Panel, and re-installing EasyWave and EasyPower .13 fixed it.  However, there is definitely something not right about that .16 version of EasyPower.

Yes, there's an issue with the EasyPower installer and I've asked Siglent to fix it.
Once past the installer it's all English UI.

For the record can we know which OS you're using ?
List it in your edited post if you like as that's what I'm linking to Siglent for their investigations.

Installed and tested.  Installer is in English and all functions work with the SPD1168X.

Has anyone else noticed the static IP issue?  All other equipment I have works fine using a static IP, but both the SPD3303X-E and this SPD1168X do not.

Thanks Bill, I'll shoot that through to Siglent.
Defpom is to have a look at the EasyPower SW soon so maybe he'll document this in a vid so Siglent can plainly see the issue.
