With a recent thread about some of these , I looked around and have seen some deals .
I have not seen [ yet ] enough info , pictures to tell wether these will work generally on other scopes , were the the amp. mounts to the scope .
I have some other scope like Rigol 1100 series and older other brands , I know that some probes use contacts off to the side of the BNC to function , but do not know if I would be able to use ?
These probes use an external power supply and amplifier and will work with any oscilloscope although they usually require a 50 ohm input but this can be provided by a feedthrough termination.
Two other probes with watching for are the P6201 and P6202(A).
Thanks , guessing the models you listed are newer ?
A quick check on eBay , almost all have no power supplies .

Newer but still long out of production. They are fully documented however.

This is a common problem. I see some with the power supplies and some without. The ones without a power supply that have a LEMO connector plug directly into the +/-15 volt supply on the Tektronix oscilloscope or a separate power adapter that Tektronix sold but can be adapted.
Yes, it works with any scope, and with cheap scopes that don't have 50 Ohm input, a 50 Ohm terminator is needed, thats all.
One thing you should be aware of especially for used P6046, apart from the power supply, you should watch if the sale comes with the 10X attenuator, alot of the sales I saw on ebay are without it.
The 10X attenuator
The BNC connector at the right at the probe amplifier box, its for the probe connection to the scope, all you need is just a short bnc cable to the scope.
The probe's connector to the amplifier box.
