Bravo!

What pisses me off is the lack of visible calibration results.
Here's what I found:
if the measurements are underestimated, it is necessary to calibrate the base line and the system by applying a negative voltage to the input, approximately at the level by how much less the measurement is. And vice versa.

Well, and then you will figure it out yourself. I have voiced the idea.

pcprogrammer:
Most likely the setup in the DPOX180H is similar to the 1013D. The baseline calibration uses the offset generated with PWM to get an ADC reading of 128 and it then looks at the differences between the two (or four in this new one) ADC's to get more or less the same output from each. It assumes an open input, which allows you to make adjustments with a supplied voltage.

Since the design of the sampling hardware looks just like what is in the 1013D, I suspect that they are overclocking the ADC's. To get the 500MSa/s they have to create the proper clock signals for each of the two chips with the needed 45 degree phase difference between them, and merge the sample data in the right order. The jitter I saw in Dave his review video most likely is caused by the imperfection in it all.

I do wonder if they used more of the available memory in the FPGA, or that they reused the crappy design of the 1013D. The front end looks different, but not sure if it improved much, going by the remarks in this thread.

Just received this new toy, but sorry for not reading all the texting before.
FW upgraded to V4, and what I mentoined:
1. Is it decoupling capacitor (for channel AC coupling) too small, causing at even 1kHz square waveform (probes @10X properly compensated with DC coupling and looks ok) to be very distorted? (1st pic)
2. At 50nS/div with both channels enabled there is some BW limitation (all BW limiting options are disabled), 100nS/div and 20nS/div and other near, as well as 50nS/div with only single channel enabled seems all OK. (2nd+ pics)

Nik,

Thanks for your very interesting method for reading and editing the Capture data.cap files.  I have tried to duplicate your method but unfortunately I cannot get the DPOX180H to generate the Capture folder or the data.cap files.  It only sends my laptop the Screenshots and the Waveform folders.  There is no Capture folder with data.cap files on the USB Drive (D:) .

Do you have any good advice?
