You should know how it works by now. People post a shit thread start and other people can't resist chipping in perpetuating the cycle. In this specific case we know it's intended to get shit rolling downhill.

I suspect that 001 uses advanced alien meters to test UFO direct drives, quantum communication systems, and zero point energy systems at the alien pyramid base he works at in the Antarctic.

It is for dummy operator. It looks for voltage and then for resistance if no voltage detected

It is a joke of sorts, it's sarcasm. If you are riding a motorcycle, the wind blows past you at the speed you are riding as you are exposed to the local atmosphere. If you smoke a cigarette, the ash will be blown off the end if you are in any significant wind. Therefore, an ashtray (a device to hold the ash from your cigarette) will be useless.
Would you mind explaining how the localized bubble within the space-time continuum works when you're riding on a UFO at c speeds?

I had for a brief time a UT123, which did an automatic AC/DC voltage detection. Although it worked reasonably well, the autorange was slowed by this. As long as the voltage did not have mixed AC or DC, the reading was accurate - otherwise I have noticed the reading was lower at times. This brought a bit of concern to me.
I suspect this is another one of these features that work well but only on ideal conditions.
