R&S SM300 Low Output
« on: December 31, 2017, 02:06:26 pm »
Just got a R&S SM300 and find the output is down about 50-55 dBm across the range of frequencies.  It's a bit weird.. as I have a clean signal from -80 dBm up to -26 dBM although the signal is off by about -10 dBM.  But when I change the level from -26 to -25 the output just disappears completely.  The service manual is useless as it says to change module.  Sound like the final PA is shot and its working on preamp power only but I cannot find any schematics.

I see R&S in USA has a flat fee policy - I'm sure that will be expensive.... does anyone know of a reputable and reasonable repair center in USA?
