| [SOLVED] NI MAX does not see my Siglent SPD3303 |
| (1/1) |
| mushroom:
Hi, I'm unable to connect to the PSU using NI MAX. Other Siglent devices (DMM, scope, AWG) are showing... Not the PSU. Entering its IP by hand has no effect. I can control the PSU using EasyPower. I can ping it. But no luck with NI MAX. DHCP + static lease so the IP is always the same. unlocked SPD3303X-E (=SPD3303X) hardware : v3.0 firmware : SPD3303X V1.01.01.02.07R2 What am I doing wrong ? |

If rolled back to the X-E version does the problem still remain ? |
| mushroom:
I reverted the PSU to X-E, re-upgraded to 1.01.01.0.2.07R2 (X-E firmware version) : it does not make any difference. Tested from two computers. I also tried with another IP I defined on the device rather than assigned by the DHCP. Still no PSU on the NI utility even when trying to define it manually : "Could not open a VISA session to 'TCPIP0:nnnnnn blah blah'" The DHCP (a PiHole) works properly. When validating the DHCP option on the PSU, I can see the IP changing for the static lease I defined in the DHCP. I can telnet using port 4025 (seen here : https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/spd3303x-e-scpi-interface-issues/), I get a beep when connecting, but have no echo so I don't see what I type. [EDIT] problem solved ! I wasn't properly entering the parameters. In the dialog box, do not enter information in the "LAN Device Name". I was entering the Hostname in this field ! So, entering the IP or the hostname in the first field, and letting the second one alone is the right thing to do. RTFDI ! Read The F* Dialog Instructions ! https://www.siglenteu.com/application-note/verification-of-a-working-remote-communications-connection-using-ni-max/ |
