Title: Nicolet 310 osciloscope
Post by: Radio Tech on May 31, 2013, 01:56:32 pm
Old friend dropped this off to me and said it does not work and you can have it. Well I can say I never seen one quiet like it before in my life. Perhaps this is one of the first "storage" type scopes? I did power it up just to verify and a red and green light comes on along with a fan. Know trace on the CRT though.
So what the heck, I tore it apart.

Did not find a lot of info online but did find a little. Say one place that repairs these for $2k lol
Like to find a schematic on it so I can check out the power supply.
Oh, and it came with a roll around cart!

Bandwidth 400kHz??
Well, this must be a special scope from early 1990s or what.

LOL, yeah I laughed a bit when I first saw that myself.

Does it have the magnetic bubble memory in it? I see the interface there. It will look like a large flat metal can with a connector on the one end, made by most likely Intel ( Signetics I think also did them once). I want one.....

Nope, empty slot with a black cover over where it should be. Looks like the option did not come with this one.

Did you archive the manual by chance?
