Noob alert, should both scope channels display the exact same values when cal?
(1/1)
Turbski:
I'll be honest I feel a bit like a doofus asking this, but I have purchased a FNIRSI 2C23T to take some basic automotive measurements. I'm not doing anything super complicated but I noticed when I connected the probes to my cal on my old BK scope that the readout on the FNIRSI wasn't the same from channel to channel. I did try swapping probes.

Is what I am seeing here within acceptable tolerances or do I need to return this unit?

Thanks for the help!

This is normal. If anything, your orange channel is slightly over-compensated, you can see that noise favors the first part of the low level. You can probably make VPP measurement closer by adjusting compensation a bit. But generally, it does not matter.

The voltages look strange. Does X1 in the UI mean 1x probe? If so, switch to 10x on both the probe and the scope. 1x mode is mostly useless and compensation adjustment will not do anything in that mode.

Thank you for the confirmation that everything's okay. I appreciate it!
