Back light fix

Hi,
I am trying to backup the calibration and flash data of a Fluke 92B with ID [1] using the utility provided at [2] (many thanks to marrob!).
Unfortunately, my model doesn't accept any change to the baud rate.
When I try to send the command "PC 19200\r" I always receive error 2 that means "execution error" and the speed remains 1200. Any baud rate returns the same error. This mis-behavior seems valid in kernel mode too.
Without the fast speed, I can't use the dump commands. At the beginning, I thought that the 92B was capped to 1200 but I could not find any assessment about this and one user [3] was able to correctly backup the flash.

To confirm that the infrared interface is working correctly I used a mirror.

Thanks and have a nice holiday

Hi,

Try to enter the scope via the terminal at the speed COMx = 1200.
Then send the requested speed value to the scope (PC "Program Communication" = 19200).
Then enter the terminal and set the same in the terminal COMx = 19200.

This is relevant only in an open session.
The next time you turn on the scope, you will have to repeat everything.

Thanks asis for the replay.
This is exactly what I do using screen or gtkterm withing Linux/OpenBSD. Open the tty/serial at 1200, send "PC 19200\r" (like in the documentation) and then change the baud rate of the serial terminal to 19200. The return code of the PC command must be 0 to be accepted by the scopemeter, other positive integers are errors and I always receive 2 and the baud rate remains fixed to 1200 (status word is 4 = parameter out of range)
