Title: Ono Sokki CF-6400 FFT Analyzer
Post by: arno on May 23, 2019, 07:11:22 pm
Dear folks,

some years ago I could rescue a Ono Sokki CF-6400 4-channel 100 kHz FFT analyzer from the dumpster, even with all manuals included.
As far as I can see the unit still works quite fine and is still very useful for me as an audio-enthusiast, except for the battery (all settings are lost after re-power).

Has anybody got more information on that unit? The schematics could be quite interesting.
Also, the 'operating system' is stored on three EPROMs labeled as D27C040 (I put some tape onto them because the stickers got loose). I think it might be a good idea to do a backup, what do you think?

You find some pictures attached.

Thank you very much!

If you have the manuals, you probably have more info on it than anyone else  :)

If you plan on keeping it, backing up the EPROMs is probably a good idea.

I got one CF-6400 FFT analyzer recently and have been looking for the user's & GPIB manuals for a while.
but no luck so far.I will try to use PC to communicate with CF-6400 if I can find the GPIB manual(or GPIB command list).

Dear all,

sorry, I missed the last reply. If you are still in need of the manual, I could scan it after the lockdown (I'm currently in home office without a proper scanner).
Also I could dump all the EPROMs.

Yes,I still need the manual!

I have replaced the Lithium battery.I used Tadiran TL5903(2400mAh/ AA size/ 2 pins) for the original Tadiran TL-5135(1700mAh/ disk/3 pins).
Let me know if you need detail information.

The Tadiran Disk type TL-5135 Li battery replaced by Tadiran AA type TL-5903 in my CF-6400.
