Optimation Model AC 110 ACV calibrator
« on: March 23, 2019, 07:08:41 pm »
I bought this ACV calibrator on your favorite auction site and the 100V and 1KV ranges have no output, but it works otherwise or so they say. Does anybody know anything about this instrument or have any documentation? I should be able to get it going anyway but it'll be much easier and faster with some idea of what it is. Maybe another relevant question is how do these types of calibrators typically work?

Tear it down and take lots of pictures. For a manual try the manual_exchange user group , or try contacting ohm-labs(it is a long shot, they bought jrl, which was the owner of optimation). For a guess on how it works, look into the fluke 5200a. Fluke called into using your optimation unit in the calibration procedures in a much older ac standard.

Well I think I've got it. Requires you to supply both 100v and 1000v through a power amp of some sort. Good news is it found a good home in my trash. No output at terminals, nothing obviously wrong with it.
