These are totally different scopes... But the Rigol DS4000 has better hardware and waveform update rate. I vote for Rigol.
But if you want a very compact scope, buy the Hameg.

Oh, download their datasheets and compare. Hameg is a high quality product with almost bug free firmware... But has a much smaller memory than Rigol, for example. I don't like the multiplexed vertical knobs.

Everyone complains about the vertical knobs. I am a huge analog fanboy, trust me - I love having all my controls separate. But look at the number of things a lot of modern DSOs can display: Ch 1 - 4, multiple reference waveforms, FFT, logic decodes sometimes, blah blah blah blah. Your choices are 1) Separate knobs for the channels, kludgey knob-sharing for everything else. Random inconsistency. Yuck. 2) Separate knobs for everything. Sounds great - I've always wanted my scope to have a cockpit! 3) Shared knob.

Hahaha, that's funny.  Someone should produce a modern digital scope where every feature has its own knob/button/toggle/etc, just so we can see what that would look like.

What would be your dream Oscilloscope for around $3000AUD

But it is only my own opinion. Buy the right scope, that you need. The scopes are so different. Agilent DSOX has very good update rate but not a long memory. Rigol DS4000 has 140MB memory, but the waveform update speed is a bit worse.
So go read the scope's datasheets and find what is your favourite scope.

I would actually prefer a 6+GHz spectrum analyzer over a top of the range DSO
Spectrum analyzers are just too expensive for hobbyists and really useful when doing FPV and building your own 2.4 or 5.8Ghz antennas.

I did see an ancient 24Ghz spectrum analyzer go for $600 on a auction site recently but its a lot to pay for something really old that may not even work properly.
