AstroAI multimeter
« on: May 21, 2019, 06:57:55 pm »
Had anyone used an AstroAI brand multimeter? I just picked one up for $33 USD. It claims 6000 count, true rms, auto ranging, 5.5 digit. It's got a temperature probe, capacitance measure, and some other woowee marketing features. I'm not expecting a fantastic meter for the price, wondering if it's at all worth the money.

At best its a 4 digit, not 5.5.  Since its 6000 count I'd call it 3.75 digit...

At best its a 4 digit, not 5.5.

6000 counts is 3.5 digits.

DC accuracy is only 1% so it's probably closer to 2.5 digits in practice.

On the plus side: Fuses look decent, it has plenty of features. Looks OK for the money.
