They certainly are and I'm still astounded how much capability is in a small package....and stuff is still being added like the new Logging feature and NTP clock.  :o
I was on the beta team for SDS1104X-E so it's a product I know fairly well however these days it's hard to find the time to fully explore all its new features.
Bang for buck it's hard to beat although the somewhat cheaper X-U is gaining a following with those that don't need all the bells and whistles. Good luck with your selection Jerry.

Does the 4-channel version of the Siglent SDS1104X-E have similar features and performance?

I don't currently own any 4-channel 'scopes but I would very much like to get one. My current everyday bench scope is a Tektronix TDS2002B. I also own a couple of vintage analog 'scopes but I don't use them very often, mainly just when I'm not satisfied with the way a digital 'scope displays certain events. That said, the TDS2002B is certainly adequate for most of my work. In what ways would the Siglent SDS1104X-E model be an improvement?

Same scope as mentioned above.
As you're in the US you have numerous choices of where to source one from and recommend Saelig whom offer members here a discount code of 6%. Search for their thread and ask for the code.

TDS2012B was my last Tek and 2ch DSO.

Much greater feature set for starters but the larger display and more connectivity options are useful for many too.

Run through the chart above and line each feature against your Tek to see which features are to be an advantage to you. The first you would notice is the larger 7" display.
