Did you put the unzipped recovery files in the root of the USB stick?

The file I've got was not zipped, it was a xxxx.ADS file and I've put this in the root of the USB stick.

ADS files are firmware files that get upgraded via the system menu in the scope.

If you're using a recovery package that operates during boot, it will not be an ADS file. The version I had was 4 files, none of which were ADS.

That's interesting....

The file provided from Rob was "SDS2000X+_HELP_UPGRADE.ADS", on the other hand he mentioned in his instructions ""..place files..."

So you may be right and he sent the wrong link.

Thank you very much...

There are two different patch sets:
One is the single ADS file.
The other is a set of files, none of which is ADS.
Tautech can say for sure what to use in your specific case.

This is the latest Uboot fix.  ;)

May or may not require latest FW install afterwards.....

I saw a joke earlier in this thread about screen protectors and bubbles. Just received my scope from Saelig and I removed the screen film installed at the factory that had a red tab and said remove before use. However, my screen seems to have another film installed on it and in this one I have bubbles.

Is there a second protective film that needs to be removed or do I have an issue with my screen?

See photos. Scope is brand new just opened.

I received my in middle of 12/2022 and it had the same issue. At first I thought it’s defective display, but shortly I realized it’s 2nd layer.
I used toothpick to remove it.

Adding on to this with another new scope with the same issue. This one was from TEquipment. Attached picture is before I removed the film.  Maybe this is a factory film for the display that Siglent forgot to remove?  :-// Anyway, I just peeled it off like MarkusAJ suggested and now it looks great!

Hi all
After updating to a new OS, a problem appeared.
My scope is a localized version of Siglent for my country, All updates were installed from the official Siglent website and had no problems. https://www.siglenteu.com/service-and-support/firmware-software/digital-oscilloscopes/#sds2000x-plus
After the update OS, similar artifacts appeared in the scope menu, I also noticed some slowness in operation. How can I fix this?

Can an SDS2000X Plus owner confirm if the latest firmware versions include the filtering function in Math?
I saw that the latest firmware version shows :

5. Fixed several bugs
d) Math: Filter sample rate adaption cannot work

Filter sample rate adaption functions seems to be specific for HD series, regarding the filtering operation.

Thanks !

Yes that might seem so however that's not entirely the case.

Strange indeed SDS2000X Plus does not offer sample rate adjustments so I have asked Siglent if SDS2000X Plus can support it.

An update of the memory management control and possibly the introduction of filters could bring back the attention to this oscilloscope, still competitive in its price range.

The other functions are well implemented and not for everyone the 12 bit conversion is a must.

I would be interested in that too, because there is no mention of it in the official revision history.

HQ has indicated the memory management feature will be added in a FW update in 2025.

I have 1.6.2R5 and I don't see any function named "Filter" in the menu (Math -> Function).

I don't know what this function does on the SDS2000X HD series but I guess this screenshot shows it in action.
