5U4GB:
As a followup, I've posted a slightly longer writeup, along with some thoughts on why the output voltage increases with load, here.

Hello.
Owon fixes the bugs in the firmware?
Is it worth buying this AWG or is it better to buy another device?

peit:
Hi
Please tell me, what frequency does a square shape show an even shape without distortion?
I need a generator signal in which the square keeps its normal shape at about 8-10 MHz

mbrando:
Hello,

I'm running in to the same issue.

I'm getting odd behavior of phase between Channel 1 and Channel 2. I see in the utility menu I can "Align Phase".

However, each time to touch a button on the interface after Using the Utility -> CH1/2 Set -> Align Phase function, the phase changes.

See attached. I performed the following steps.

* Connect OWON DEG2070 to Oscilloscope
* Set CH1 on DEG2070 to 1KHz sine wave, 5 Vpp 0-deg phase
* Set CH2 on DEG2070 to 1KHz sine wave, 5 Vpp 0-deg phase
* See settings in attached images CH1-seetings.JPG and CH2-settings.JPG
* Set CH1 and CH2 ON
* See nearly 180-deg out of phase wave forms - Wave-out-of-phase.JPG
* I then Utility -> CH1/2 Set -> Align Phase - Wave-aligned.JPG
* See attached aligned wave forms
* Now I want to change the 1KHz Frequency to 10KHz for both CH1 and CH2
* You can see the Phase alignment between CH1 and CH2 is no longer aligned - Wave-After-Freq-Change.JPG
This would make it impossible to use the Phase controls on CH1 and CH2 to specifically set CH1 to 30-deg and CH-2 to 10-deg since any change to settings in either channel changes the wave form phase with respect to CH1/2.

What is worse is that you get this same change in Phase by pressing any button e.g. Change to either Ch1 or CH2 via CH1/CH2 button, Change wave for to sine or square etc.

It acts like it resets and starts over with every key press on the channel visible, meaning pressing button while viewing CH2 will not affect CH1 and visa versa.

How did the DEG2070 get release with this flaw? Can they fix with software or firmware update?

mbrando:
Hello,

I spoke with OWON and was told this was a design flaw in the earlier versions of the DGE2070 and that current versions do not have this phase issue.

They have offered to send a replacement unit.

If you have this issue contact OWON support info@owon.com.cn
