You see, I only now began paying attention to this. :-/O So I don't know if it's good bad normal not normal, is it broken or not. :scared:
Basically, when I turn on oscilloscope, and it's an idle, no probes connected. V says -.414 and it goes up and down, V is mean. RMS also around 500 going up and down.
Then when I connected a AA battery, with known voltage of 1.6108 and connect probes to it (DC couple, 10x, full 200 Mhz band) I get this:

As you can see V voltage of battery minus whatever V was before. Is that suppose to be like that?
Then, let me turn on wave gen, 1.0000kHz, 1.00Vpp
Vpp says 1.080V and it goes up and down 1.060, 1.080, V is 017, -11.60, goes up and down

Is this normal? Or, do I have a problem?
