Title: Paperwork porn! A 40 year old scope manual
Post by: jewelie on January 29, 2018, 01:15:40 am
When I got hold of an old CRT scope last year, I couldn't help but be dazzled by the 40 year old manual that came with it.   It's nearly as old as me (but in FAR better condition!)  The theory of operation description is fab, as are the mint circuit diagrams.  It's practically an electronics textbook and tutorial in itself.

See the attached photos...

Yea cool. Back then they actually were proud to explain the entire theory of operation.

For Tektronix, complete service documentation was withheld starting at about 1990.

Damn... completely hand-drawn, yet well laid-out and so very sharp... what craftmanship and skill!
