| Patch leads for HP16058A |
| (1/1) |
| Keith956:
I'm looking for the patch leads for a HP16058A test fixture, both the 16058-61600 'large to small' and 16058-61601 'small to small' ones. Or better, the 'large' and 'small' plugs to make up some of these leads. The large plugs are (I think) 2mm stackable banana plugs that can be bought from the likes of Farnell, but I can't seem to find the small ones which are < 1mm diameter pins. If anyone knows of a source for them I'd be most grateful. |

Did you end up finding which kind of "miniature banana" they are? |

it a tip* jack. 1 size smaller then mini bananas . fits a DMM probe too one amazing connector IMO. HP used it for board interfaces when it was not a stingy miser IMO a solid connector choice for any low current device. just gotta have cables. having 4mm banana kinda gets old everywhere just because of interoperability and being too cheap for proper cables. you know like proper dining instead of being the guy drinking soup with a fucking commercial size ladle its like being posh enough to own a tea spoon. why are they good. you get less tangles on complex test cables. it weighs less. its less bulky. the next devolution in electronics is going to be using a paper clamp to sandwich wires on a piece of bare PCB sticking out of the front ::) despite the name, the connector does not use a solid cylinder. it works with one (dmm probe) but the proper interface for it... is a mini mini banana style connector made out of spring contacts. when you look at electronics interconnects it reminds me of the startrek TNG episode "genesis" work of the MBA , with a computer engineering background |
