Seems they used to do Hantek clones, but this one falls between 6052BE and 6082BE, while having better specs for memory per channel (512kB).
Up to you if you want to risk it with a no name brand and want a USB scope.

Thanks for the info. Not really after the scope part. I'm looking for the spectrum analyzer and Sinad part of this unit. Having all three in one is a cool idea but how well it works is the big question.

Ok how about some thoughts on this thing?

8 bit vertical resolution is a bit underwhelming.  It's common for digital oscilloscopes, but those tend to be much faster.  Those 8bit won't be a joy as spectrum analyzer.

The digilent analog discovery uses 14bit (but "only" 100MHz sampling rate) and is in similar price range.  It won't replace either an oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer, but as educational or hobby tool it's works quite well I'd say (I like its network analyzer feature using the built-in wave-form generator).

Those PC based solutions stand and fall with the software.  The one for the analog discovery is free, works IMHO quite well and there's a documented API if you care to write customized software.

A tool like this probably produces some useful, if limited, results as a spectrum analyser. With an 8 bit ADC its a bit of a joke trying to use it for SINAD measurements.

Yeah I'm passing on it for now. Have someone on another site getting one of these any day now and said to hold off until he gets his and does a full test on it then give a review.  As for the Sinad meter I followed Rob's foot steps and got the one he has.  Don't need a S-G as I have a killer one already. S-A is the only thing I am missing but the cost of those things are way out of my budget for a long time. I will come back and give the results on this unit once the testing is over. Could be a week to a month so stay tuned..
