| Peak instruments, worth it? |

I was looking to buy ESR70 and DCA55 from them. My intentions are good readings for capacitor ESR in-circuit (when possible) and accurate and precise readings out of circuit. Also i want to know how good is their transistor analyzer (DCA55). Especially compared to cheap chinese ones (BSIDE and 7dollar one). Is it better to invest in some other tools for this? |

I use the DCA55 for field work. Had it for a few years now. Excellent unit, rugged and reliable. On my bench I use a Sencore TF30. |

Great news, thank you. I am more curious about ESR70. Can it really measure ESR in circuit? Since it measures at different freq it can possibly eliminate need for LCR (if used only for measuring caps on different freq)? I know that it is not most accurate in circuit but still i want to know how accurate is this meter for in in and out of circuit compared to other ESR meters and LCR? |
