Peaktech 4094

(1/1)

wmattias:
Anyone out there who has (or had tried) the Peaktech 4094 Bench multimeter? Looks nicely priced @ €250 but question is what you get. On paper 4.5 digits and has graphing/math/4-wire/…

mcinque:
Stay away from Peaktech, they are just rebranded and more expensive products, nothing more.

I once asked them if they sold at higher prices for a specific reason the same products that can be found on the market at lower prices (e.g., better components inside, better capacitors) but instead of bringing decent arguments in their favor (better service, support, or whatever) they just got offended and "walked away" from the discussion.

I cannot think of anything worse than Peaktech: several products are junk while others are decent products but still at a higher price and without added value, but the perception is given that Peaktech it is a brand, even a serious and respectable one.

If you really like that DMM find the original product and purchase that.

Found, Owon XDM2041: https://eleshop.eu/owon-xdm2041-multimeter.html

You can buy it at least 40% cheaper.

Ah, thanks!!! Great info!

Traceless:
This is a rebranded Owon XDM2041 (which you can get for under 200€), I actually do have the exact same meter sold under the Voltcraft brand. The price for this one is way to high. But if there is anything particular you want to know about this meter I think I can help.

P.S.: If you like this meter you might want consider to pay a bit more for either the XDM3051 or even the Siglent SDM3055.
