Brymen BM907 - your opinions?

Hello, what are your opinions on Brymen BM907 multimeter? http://www.brymen.com/product-html/cata900/Bm900s.htm
There are no teardown photos anywhere. 
It looks like a nice basic multimeter with decent overvoltage protection. The LCD is rather small. The multimeter looks solid and shockproof. Just an everyday multimeter with no special functions, that you will hardly ever use. It seems to be introduced in 2013 2011. It is cheaper than BM257.
But yes, there are almost no user opinions anywhere.

Looks like one of Brymen's older models a la the 859 series. If so, build quality should be good but not as good of quality as their newer meters.

The CAT rating is acceptable, but not the best. Just like Keysight U1233A or Fluke 117.

I don't have that specific model, but I do have a BM857A which uses the same enclosure & display.

The quality is very good, and it's been rather robust IME (taken multiple drops of ~ 1.5m during automotive use in stride). The single LCD display is actually sufficiently large enough, as I can read it a bit over 2 arm's length away, and I'm 6'-4" with arms like an Orangutan.  Protections aren't that of their current production (S models), but they're still decent; I've no qualms about probing mains with it at all, and have done so many times (FWIW, the IEC requirements have changed since mine was produced, which forced the changes to their current production).

They're also older than 2013 (mine was produced in 2000); in fact, it's before they changed the case to include a separate battery door.

So if you can get it at the right price, I'd recommend giving it a go. Otherwise, go for one of the newer models, such as the BM257S or the BM235 Dave's selling, depending on your needs/wants.

BM907 is new design from 2013, but if I have enough money, I will buy BM829 in the future. BM907 has less weight, it might be nice for travelling.

What are you basing the date on? 

IIRC, the BM25x, BM82x, and BM86x series' were around then, all using newer enclosure designs (wondering why they'd have continued to use the older design on a new product when the newer enclosures were in production).

FYI, the BM907S is tested and certified to latest IEC standards. A CATIII/600V rating is more than most will need. IMHO it is a good buy.
