Title: Pink colour in oscilloscopes
Post by: chipinheart on December 09, 2018, 07:45:56 pm
Guys. I want to buy an oscilloscope. Chosen the best from price/quality Rigol 1054Z. Unfortunately, I can't beat myself. It has PINK controls. Oh my god, who that little shy girl who invented pink color in professional equipment? I know Chinese people are "alternative", and love different sick things like vivid acid colors, hentai tentacles and so on, but why in oscilloscope, why. I can't afford normal things like Keysight, only these cheap.... I'm so upset (

I never thought in a such direction. I feel much better now, thanks.

I was in shop today. Now I see pink everywhere: pink dolls, pink panties...

Two blue channels and a pink channel, what more could you want?

I think that they use a red trace.

I looked at YouTube, looks like pink to me.

perhaps you want your oscilloscope to sing patriotic songs and look like it was removed from an old flack track?

I can live with the pink.

The two slightly different shades of blue is just bloody stupid though.

I like my TDS210. You can have any colour you want as long as it's black.

Tentacle erotica is Japanese, with roots in the beginning of 1800 or earlier, not Chinese.
The two cultures are quite different (IMHO), and mixing them up is probably going to be offensive for one or both, also due to their history.

On the 1054Z panel there are only two tiny smudges of pink, and the actual trace colour is definitely Magenta.

I can't beat myself.
Maybe some tentacle hentai could help? :-DD

The two slightly different shades of blue is just bloody stupid though.
I've seen a number of comments lamenting this choice, I have to say that, to my eyes, they are as different as, e.g., a green and a yellow trace could be.

Not a big difference to me. I saw it in real in electronics shop. Ugly colour. By the way, they are exactly the same, these two colours: inside and outside.
