Title: Portable LAB Project

Hello EEV!

I figured this would be a great place to post my new project! Im making a Portable Electronics Lab! It will be contained in a Rubbermaid Tub  :palm: For now!

Containing the following items:

DMM
AMM
Analog Wave Generator
Digital Wave Generator
Analog tuned DC and AC Power supply
Precision Digital Power Supply
LCR Meter
Mini-PC
USB Oscilloscope
USB Bore Scope
17" LCD
+More!

Will add pictures of the items I have so far later!  :-+

Feel free to suggest any products and to make any helpful advice/comments!  :blah:

Amp Hour Chris mentioned something similar. He even planed to buy a gun to help transporting it, yes a real gun :)

Ha I dont blame him lol, as much as some of this equipment costs.  :'(

Lol, will do bud! At work at the moment but when I get home I will put of some of what parts I have already  :-+

Ok here is what I have so far:

A old school Analog wave gen and PSU
The Rubbermaid tub and other compoinets

Currently the Tub has a old tactical UHF repeater in it  :-/O

And we have a start! Leaving in the 48v 30a Power supply and the GE Efficant DC(42-56v) to DC 12v converter  :blah:

Currently trying to figure out how I want to arrange everything, Vertical would be easier but I really want an horizontal setup  :phew:

Yep thats right! Im putting in a New APC 1000  >:D Plus the Mini-PCs power supply can run on AC or DC 12v so it will have its own backup SLA 12ah battery providing a back up to the back up lol..... I also upgraded the Mini- PC with a 60gb Corsair SSD and upgraded the ram from 1gb to 2gb.  :-+ I have alot of work to do!

It took three people to solder that wire on!  :-DD

What's the Corsair CPU cooler for? (This one:)

Also, since the screen is horizontal, you may want to cover it with a sheet of acrylic or polycarbonate to protect it from dropped objects.

Lol the Corsair fan is strapped to a amd heatsink that's strapped to a GE 48v dc to 12v dc converter. Very efficient but still gets hot.... Maybe the fan is overkill lol. As far as the screen is concerned there is a lid to this and when it's in use it will be setting on its side. When I said horizontal I was speaking of the arrangement of the stuff inside long ways.
