Hawk 5000 power analyser
« on: June 04, 2019, 02:32:37 pm »
I've picked up a Hawk 5000 datalogger for measuring 3-phase power. It's supposed to have some PC setup software but that's missing.

I think I can buy some 3rd-party software for £400-ish, but it would be sufficient to use whatever basic setup it originally came with (the third party stuff does lots of fancy analysis of the results).

Alternatively, I might be able to write some setup and download software myself, but I need some basic hints on the communication protocol (9600 baud serial, unknown message content).

Has anyone come across one of these  ? Ideally I'd like a copy of basic setup software, but a sniffer on someone's working setup would be very useful to me.
