FeelElec FY6800 output voltage too high
« on: October 05, 2019, 10:14:53 am »
Hi,

purchased a FY6800 from Amazon and have a problem with the output voltage. The default amplitude gives me a 50Vpp signal instead of a 5Vpp on my oscilloscope without load and at 50 ohm still 25Vpp. The firmware is V1.7.1. I've already exchanged the device, but it's behaving the same way.

With amplitude at max of 20V the output is over 200Vpp without load.

Any ideas, someone?

I bet you have your probe set up as 1x and the oscilloscope is expecting it to be 10x. That is why everything is showing at 10x the voltage it really is.
