Have a Rigol MSO5xxx and it came with a software bundle, all official.
Going to the Rigol license website: http://licenseen.rigol.com/CustomerService/ProductRight_EN (http://licenseen.rigol.com/CustomerService/ProductRight_EN)
And entering my bundle key in the XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and 'scope S/N I get an error:
"Query error, please contact RIGOL"
If I try again, unsurprisingly I get a different error as it now believes the key is bound to a device:
"key used in other sn"
Has anyone else had this?
Safari 16.1, MacOSX 12.6.1 - and no, I don't want to use Firefox or Chrome...

Sounds like the license key has already been redeemed for another instrument.

I would have said so, yet this is the second key they've given me...

IIRC you should only introduce the characters, without any dashes '-' or space separators.

The website doesn't allow the "-" to be added, you just type the numbers/letters and it 'auto jumps' from each 4-character box to the next, with the dash hard-coded in the page.

I had a different problem getting my bundle keys from that website (it just seemed to not do anything at all when I clicked submit). I sent an email to support and got it sorted in a day or two.
