nice! it does look like a very clean design.  You know the Rigol stuff - I can see some on your bench.  I am curious what other factors led you to choose this over something like Rigol DP832 or DP832A.

not questioning your decision at all, for sure but It would be interesting to hear your line of reasoning since you are clearly not stuck to a particular manufacturer : )

I have a different model, but found the spacing between the red blue sockets to be odd, and banana plug adapters didn't fit.
Im not sure if there is a standard for that, i read 19mm or 3/4" spacing.
How about yours?

Do you plan to open it (may void calibration and/or warranty) and post photos of it ?

Schematics of the Hameg 7044 are available, I'd be curious to have a comparison.

The 7044 is main transformer, then step down switch mode step down (using off the shelf IC), then linear regulation.
According to Hameg's brochure, HMP series are using the same "architecture", except it has much more programmable features.

Also, you are probably aware that Hameg is introducing a "compact" HMC series PSU, very similar to HMP except it has less power. I'll be curious to know the differences, as the HMC PSU are priced only a couple hundred euros cheaper than HMP and has same programmable feature.

Just curious, what are those shelves made of that they don't sag from the weight of the equipment?

Nice looking lab by the way.
