| Q: Front protective cover for HP 16702b logic analyzer? |
| (1/1) |

Does any kind of cover exist that covers the LCD and controls on a 16702? Has anyone made something? I can see that Tek made one for the TDS3000: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/buysellwanted/fs-tek-tds3000-front-cover/ I just picked up a mint condition one and I'd like something that will protect the front from damage when the unit is not in use. Thanks |

Hello. There should have been no front panel cover, at least not a genuine vendor front panel cover, on these series of LAs and DSOs from HP/Agilent. This is in contrast to those from Tektronix of the same era, which usually had front covers. We packed a lot of measuring equipment during an office move and had a hard time with equipment that didn't have covers. |

Thanks. Searching I couldn't see an official HP part or anything aftermarket. I posted the TEK link so people would know what I was referring to. From the picture the TEK looks to be formed out of that thin foam type material. I suspect I'm going to need to modify something or make my own. A similar materia to the TEK implies to me a mould which is more work than I fancy. Appreciate any thoughts/advice. |

I'll probably just make one out of acrylic sheet. Glue or weld seams. Line with foam to get a snug non marring fit. |
