Racal 9081 Rf Signal Generator
« on: October 23, 2023, 08:25:17 pm »
A fellow Radio Amateur gave me one of these in good working condition, I let it warm up for around half an hour , took measurements at 5Mhz & 575 MHz, bang on, I'm sure there's loads of other on it which I haven't figured out yet,

I also got a Megger Seaward multimeter, the beeper was a bit quite, so I replaced the beeper and all is well, it's accuracy, is off the scale, I feel very lucky owning two pieces of quality equipment. I find it very heart warming, that some people think of you, when they want a clear out.
I got from the radio club an 80m receiver that wasn't working, which I got going nicely, very lively, also I got a HP bench multimeter, not working, which is the next thing for me to have a go at, big step for me this one, it has a display reading all 00000000, but No measurement read out if you put in  say  9v in NO readout , so the only thing I can think off, is to go through each board one ant a time, repairing, anything I find methodical, hoping to learn lots.
