Recommend test / QA setup for qualifying analog products
« on: December 04, 2022, 01:10:31 pm »
I need to adjust some trim pots to tune the bias of some transistor and jfet stages.  I would also like to check the calibration of filters.  Is there a nice way to have  a go / no go Bode plot so I can measure overall gain and cut off frequency as part of the QA process? I need to measure a number of voltage during the test as well.  I have a 34980A switch with a reed multiplexer,  a DMM6500 from Keithley, and R&S oscilloscope with function gen and Bode plot.  I also have stand alone function gens and spectrum analysers.  I only need to measure up to audio frequency (20khz)

Should I write something for something like a pi that coordinates the firmware flashing and QA test over scpi?  Is pyvisa or something like that the best approach?  I'm comfortable with programming.  Should I route things to the scope and multimeter or would an audio interface be a better option for checking the filter behaviour?  Has someone automated this before?
