Recovery DVD for Agilent 16801A logic analyzer
vishaldotgupta:
thanks, will try.
however something un explained happened, the logic analyser started booting with original hdd with which it wasn't booting earlier
everything seems to be working okay except i get fan failure and overheating alert when i connect the front panel.
if i leave it disconnected it goes on.. all fans (4+1) are working okay. so better l leave front panel disconnected
vishaldotgupta:
my unit of Agilent 16821A has now a new issue.
it gives a message stating one or more fans have filed, and sometimes later a message of frame getting overheated and unit is being shut down to prevent demage.
however i could see all 5 chassis fans running ok, and the ambient temperature being normal.
on further investigation i found an IC max6643 on MIB board which is responsible for temperature and fan speed control
i could also see that for 4 fans on the lower bay, the rpm is being sensed by CPLD. however for the fifth chasis fan loated near mains smps, the rpm pin has no connection to cpld. It could be that internal trace is broken.
can any one help there to find that to which pin (of cpld) the chassis fan tachometer out is connected to
i further noticed that max 6643 is disabled from checking fan RPM. its only configured for fan speed control and possibly tempraature measurment
